THE CRAFTING PROCESS
At The Firepit Company, we take pride in the artistry and craftsmanship that go into creating each of our unique firepits. From the initial welding of the sphere halves to the final packaging, our process is a blend of precision, skill, and creativity.
CLEANING & WELDING
The journey of each of our larger firepits begins with steel bowls that are spun for us in the UK using British steel. These are jet washed to remove any scale or debris. For our sphere Firepits we weld two halves together. The 6mm steel provides a strong foundation for the detailed work that follows.
HAND-DRAWN DESIGNS
Once the sphere or bowl is welded, it becomes the canvas for our in-house artist. With an expert eye and steady hand, the artist draws intricate designs directly onto the steel surface. This step gives each firepit a unique character.
BESPOKE DESIGNS & CUSTOMER APPROVAL
For bespoke designs, customer collaboration is key. Images of the firepit at the drawing stage are sent to the customer for approval. This ensures that the final product perfectly aligns with their vision and expectations. We value our customers’ input and work closely with them to achieve the desired outcome.
HAND CUTTING WITH PLASMA CUTTERS
After the design is finalised, our skilled plasma cutters bring it to life. Using advanced plasma cutting techniques and a steady hand, they meticulously cut along the hand-drawn lines, transforming the drawn design into a stunning, three-dimensional piece of art.
CLEANING & FINISHING
The newly cut firepit undergoes a thorough cleaning and finishing process. Our team grinds the surface to smooth out any rough edges and to enhance the overall appearance. This step not only ensures safety but also adds a professional, polished finish to the firepit.
PACKING & SHIPPING
Once the firepit has been cleaned and finished, it is carefully packaged to protect it during transit. We take great care in our packaging to ensure that the firepit arrives at your doorstep in perfect condition, ready to become the centrepiece of your outdoor space.
